A whistle stop tour around World Showcase lagoon with a quick stop at each of the
eleven Pavilions. Unlike any other Disney Park, and perhaps not for everyone, the
World Showcase has representations of eleven countries from around the globe, each
meticulous in it's attention to detail. Walt Disney once called Disneyland the most
wondrous place on Earth, and he wasn't wrong!
This DVD takes you to place after place and let you experience the following:

The Great pyramid, nestling on the promenade at the lagoon's edge contains a typical
Mexican market scene at dusk. Here you can eat at the Cantina or shop at the market
stalls selling Mexican handicrafts.

Complete with Stave Church and authentic Norwegian buildings and outcrops this pavilion
was added in 1988 and was built in conjunction with Norwegian companies and celebrates
the rich culture and folklore that is Norway.

The Chinese pavilion is dominated with Disney's copy of the Beijing Temple of Heaven.
Colourful gardens adorned with Chinese plants and trees complete the picture.

Although you won't find a town in Germany quite like the German Pavilion it is the
essence of Germany and that's what the World Showcase is all about. Disney imagineers
took the best from towns in the Rhine, Northern Germany and Bavaria to bring you
this fantastic look at the Fatherland. Like all the pavilions, the cast members are
really from the country they represent.

The Doge's Palace stands tall and dominating in the centre of the Italian square.
Gold plated statues abound and close by you can catch a gondola.

United States of America.
The Unites States Pavilion stands centrally around the lagoon and dominates in size. The
colonial-style building was made from 110,000 Georgia clay hand crafted bricks, and
houses a fast food restaurant and a souvenir shop as well as the American Adventure
Show.
The American Adventure differs from all other shows in the World Showcase in that
it is not just a film showing scenes from various parts of the country but is more
a potted history of America, starting with the Pilgrims at Plymouth rock and finishing with
America today. Narrated by Ben Franklin and Mark Twain and helped by a further 33
Audio-Animatronics figures from George Washington at the gruelling winter at Valley
Forge to Andrew Carnegie. High on Patriotism as you'd expect.

Although Disney imagineers couldn't use many genuine Japanese plants because of the
very different climate found in Florida they did a credible job of giving a very
Japanese feel to the pavilion. The streams and pools contain Koi and there are a
few very small trees about.

Nine tons of hand made Tile was shipped to Epcot to create this authentic looking
pavilion. The mosaics were hand crafted by Moroccan artists and the Marrakech prayer
tower completes the north African picture perfectly.

Oh La La, isn't this really France. Complete with the Eiffel Tower this is a 19th
century look at a typical Paris street, complete with wine shop and bakery.

Disney's look at the UK and pretty good too. Stately homes, quaint shops and the
good old Fish and Chip shop (Which incidentally serves terrific fish and chips) complete
the picture. A Pub, park and of course a red telephone box, make it all seem like
home.
And to take you back to the 60's none other than a Beatles look and sound like band.

Mountains, snow, waterfalls and a trading post. All that Canada has to offer, not
likely.... Take a look at the movie showing in the old mine.
360 degree circle-vision show that shows you all that Canada has to offer, and it's
not just snow. Introduced and narrated by a famous Canadian.

Now that we've walked the 1.2 miles around the lagoon it's time we had a ride on
it. A gentle boat ride that takes you past a few countries is a pleasant rest for
the weary feet.
When night falls what better way to finish the day than to grab yourself a seat and
watch the terrific fireworks show that closes the park each night. Not to be missed.
This is NOT one of those Disney presentations you get free through the door, or a
copy of a television programme (like some others offered on eBay). All our DVD's
are a faithful representation of the wonder and Joy everyone experiences at this
Magical place. You get to experience (or relive) the ACTUAL ride or attraction in
it's entirety.

too old to enjoy the splendour that is Epcot's World Showcase.
